For some reason the giant silver thing makes me think it is a cross between the Terminator II and the Robocop I 2-legged droid that is going to replace cops on the street.
In that context it looks like it is going to eat the people.
Some claim it simply appeared one day and demanded shrouded upkeep 8 months a year...
