"A Fair(y) Use Tale"

This came up in an interview yesterday. Really.

Long video, but it took about 4 weeks for all of this to be covered in class last spring. Though that was in more detail, in fairness (ahem).

Not just cogent, but quite accurate...

Thank you, Lawrence Lessig, and what I assume to be a mass of undergrads.

I couldn't make myself watch the whole thing.

You know, I try to educate, to give something back...

A little too inside then? Let me know if this context helps: Disney is one of the principal players responsible for pushing copyright terms out to (effectively) forever.

The beauty of this video is that it's making fun of Disney for doing it, plus it fits perfectly in the fair use doctrine (defeating copyright).

Um... Ah, I guess it was a little inside then.

No, not too inside, and I was amused and got the point after about, oh, the first three words or so. :)

I just couldn't make myself sit through the cut and paste word by word scenes. :)

Besides, aren't you supposed to be studying to be a lawyer? Giving something back?! It is all about taking as much as you can for your client!
