Wherein I make an aphorism (possibly)...
Optimism is a failure of imagination.
(Am I the first one to say this, or is my brain spitting something up from somewhere else? I think it might be vaguely original, but it seems too obvious for that to be the case.)
Consumed with studying at present, more in a week or so.

Zero results on Yahoo and Google, I think it is all yours.
And I love it! You need to send it in to Reader's Digest's Quotable Quotes or something. :)
i'm convinced i've heard it before. but if it's not on google...
Failure of imagination appears, and from what I saw it talks about how that can lead to optimism, or over-optimism (hmmm, in an article talking about Bush....imagine that) but I don't think the total phrase has ever been coined. :)
